Ευχαριστούμε πρώτα απ’όλα την κυρία VLADIMIRA IVANDIČ «Head of Sector for the European Union at the Ministry of Finance in Zagreb», η οποία επενέβη για να βρεθούν 2 όροι στο Ινστιτούτο του Ζάγκρεμπ που τους έστειλε με κούριερ στην Αθήνα.

The general lack of availability, including the lack at our local health center of a serum destined to treat bites from the viper xanthina presented a grave problem that had to be addressed in a satisfactory manner and within the shortest possible delay.
Happily, after August 3,2017 , and as a result of the personal efforts of our supporting member and friend Konstantin Andreopoulos, who managed to mobilize several persons in order to achieve the desired result, our local health center has now 2 vials of this serum.

Special reference and thanks go to Mrs.VLADIMIRA IVANDIČ,Head of sector for the European Union at the Ministry of Finance in Zagreb, without whose decisive intervention it would have been impossible to obtain the two vials of serum " privately" from the Immunological Institute in Zagreb . In addition to the acquisition, Mrs. IVANDIČ also arranged for courier transport of the serums from Zagreb to Athens.

Our thanks go further to Mrs. ADDA BOUTSI, a pharmacist in Athens, to whom the parcel containing the serums was initially delivered and who, having secured the proper storage of the serums for several days, dispatched them by courier in a package suitable for maintaining the temperature between 2 and 8 degrees centigrade.

And , finally, thanks to Mr. GEORGE MASTROPETROS, for arranging the courier transport of the package from Athens to Patmos.

NB: the expiry date of the serums is November 2018.Once again we wish to express our gratitude to all individuals who worked diligently towards the achievement of this goal and express the hope that in 2018 Greece will be in a position to secure direct deliveries from the new laboratory in Serbia in light of the fact that, apparently, the one in Zagreb having ceased to operate.

The president and the organizing committee of the association « Friends of the hospital of Patmos ».
